Here at Chandler Material Supplies, we don’t just believe that charity is restricted to the ‘good will’ around the Christmas period. We make a conscious effort to look and find ways throughout the year, to support chosen local charities. One of these ways is through our very popular Trade Days.

Trade Days at Chandlers are a welcome change to the everyday. Customers hear first hand from our supplier representatives, showcasing their latest products for the building industry.

It’s a combination of contributions from our wonderful suppliers, the generous donations from our customers and a cheeky bacon butty from our on site pop-up cafe – run by our staff, that raises much needed funds for our charities of the year and ultimately, makes a positive change to local people’s life as a direct consequence.

There are so many causes that we would love to support, it can be difficult to narrow it down to only one, so this year we are proud to be supporting Farleigh Hospice and local homeless charity Chess.

CHESS – https://chesshomeless.org/about-us/

Chess is a valuable support service for single homeless people in Chelmsford and Essex.

A support service covering access to everything from visits to the GP, counselling, debt advice and training to providing temporary accommodation. These are just some of the provisions available.

” We are able to provide access for our service users to Certified Training Courses to assist with the further employment in the following: Site Safety, Fire Marshalling, First Aid and Manual Handling. We hope to offer additional courses in the future if we can secure appropriate funding. ” CHESS.
